Add and present AhaSlides inside PowerPoint in your browser, with nothing to install.
Until now, the AhaSlides add-in only worked in the PowerPoint desktop app. If you built your decks in PowerPoint for the web, or your work laptop would not let you install anything, you had to switch between PowerPoint and a browser tab mid-session.
Not any more.
What’s new
The AhaSlides add-in now works in PowerPoint for the web (PowerPoint Online), and it is live for everyone.
- Add AhaSlides slides to your deck right in the browser: polls, quizzes, word clouds and every other AhaSlides slide type.
- Present live from the browser. Your audience joins on their phones with the same QR code and join code, and their answers appear on your PowerPoint slide as they come in.
- The same new add-in you know from desktop. It is the rebuilt add-in we launched in September, so sign-in, the presentation list, search and the edit popup all work the way you are used to.
Who it helps
- Microsoft 365 users who work in the browser, and never open the desktop app.
- Anyone on a locked-down work laptop who cannot install software. There is nothing to download: you add AhaSlides from PowerPoint’s own add-in store.
- Teams who share decks in OneDrive or SharePoint and edit them together online.
How to open it in PowerPoint for the web
- Open your deck in PowerPoint for the web.
- On the Insert tab, select Add-ins, then choose More Add-ins.
- Search for AhaSlides and click Add. The AhaSlides add-in window appears on your slide.
- Sign in to AhaSlides, then click Select presentation next to the presentation you want.
- Click the slide you want in the left sidebar, then click Add slide.
When you present your deck, the AhaSlides slide goes live and your audience can join straight away.
Good to know: one slide at a time on the web
In PowerPoint for the web you add one slide at a time. PowerPoint Online cannot reliably insert several slides in one go, so there are no tick boxes there. To add a handful of slides, or all of them, in one pass, use the PowerPoint desktop app.
Want the whole presentation in your deck? Open the ⋮ menu in the add-in and choose Add presentation. Your whole AhaSlides presentation goes onto one PowerPoint slide, and you move through it just as you would when presenting on AhaSlides. That works on the web and on desktop.
