We recently used the AhaSlides MS Teams app during a session and recorded the meeting using Teams built-in recorder. Oddly, the presenter’s screen was NOT captured - the recording is just audio and the gallery of cameras. In order to use this recording for others, we’ll have to edit in the presentation slides - creating a lot of extra work. I really wish I had known this before the sessions began; we might have used a different method of sharing of the content and encouraging interaction. While I love how the app works inside of MS Teams, this is a significant limitation.

Unfortunately, this behavior is due to a limitation of Microsoft Teams’ built-in recording feature. While Teams recordings capture audio, video, and screen-sharing activities, they do not record content displayed inside third-party apps integrated directly into Teams, including the AhaSlides Teams app.
To ensure your AhaSlides presentation is included in the meeting recording, we recommend presenting it via Teams’ Share Screen feature rather than using the embedded app. When the presentation is shared on screen, the slides and interactions will be captured as part of the recording.
We understand this limitation can be frustrating, especially when it isn’t expected in advance, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
