It would be great to have a new category of question of Video based question or include questions in video like Ed Puzzle. https://edpuzzle.com/

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your requests! Got a few points I hope you could clarify so we could provide you with the best experience:
-
Do you expect this video to be self-uploaded, or a YouTube link?
-
Do you expect the answers to show up as the video is playing, or only when the video stops?
-
Do you expect the video to auto-play or rather follow the presenter’s control?
Cheers,
Duke

yes, exactly, i hope that it can be viewed by the students whenever they want. the teacher just share the link to the students and they can watch the videos and answer the questions

Hi,
Although we have yet to have this feature, you can add a YouTube slide before the actual question slide as a workaround. The participants will be able to see the video if you enable the option “Also show on audience’s smartphones”.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards,

Hi..
To reply to the questions you had.
- Do you expect this video to be self-uploaded, or a YouTube link?
A: I do not see a reason to have both options. YouTube might be the faster route to create something.
- Do you expect the answers to show up as the video is playing, or only when the video stops?
A: I was thinking that the video stops, presents the user with a question (with possible answers), user select an answer and it continues to play the video afterwards. Also, have a setting\option for when the questions are presented to skip the question and continue or must answer the question before the video can continue.
- Do you expect the video to auto-play or rather follow the presenter’s control?
A: There should be an option for that (auto-play,user, or presenter control). I have sets of questions where I review with the class and other sets where the students do a self-paced questions (on their own).
Let me know if there is more clarification needed.
Thanks.
-Mark

It is really a shame that this feature is missing. Tbh it feels like a pretty basic feature to be missing, especially as image questions and video slides are both separately supported.

Hi zsu[@user:10065906816]zsu and zsu[@user:10111754702]zsu
My name is Trent Nguyen, and I’m from the AhaSlides Product Development team.
I’m tracing back to your thread because we’re building exactly this — we plan to call it “YouTube Quiz”. It’s in progress now, and we’re aiming to release it in the next couple of months.
Here’s how it will work: paste a YouTube link, then place questions directly on the video timeline where you want them. During the session, the video pauses at each question, your audience answers on their phones, and playback continues. You can also trim a long video down to just the section that matters. It will also work with audience self-pacing mode.
I’ll update here when we have a date. It would be my pleasure to give you early access if you’d like to test it — just reply in this thread or email me at trent@ahaslides.com
Thanks,
Trent
