Using slide decks from shared folders is quite cumbersome.

1. I can duplicate a slide deck and it stays within the shared folder. I can rename and edit it, but I cannot move or delete it.

2. I can open a deck from someone else within the shared folder but I first have to fetch edit rights before being able to COPY slides from it to another slide deck.

3. Even though it’s possible to create a share link, the option to include notes is grayed out until editing rights are available.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback!

We are actively working on improving the experience with shared presentations.

Regarding points 2 and 3, the limitations you’ve mentioned are due to the way the collaboration feature functions, as only one user can edit or present a presentation at a time. As such, another user will need to take over the presentation before they can make any edits or utilize it. I will ensure your feedback is communicated to our team for further consideration.

With respect to point 1, we are aware of the current limitations and are working to enhance this functionality as well. We appreciate your patience as we continue to make improvements.

Kind regards,

Nathan

Thanks for the fast reply. I don’t really see, why points 2 and 3 require editing rights, as both are about copying content somewhere else without modifying the existing content…

BTW: It’s quite annoying that the option to include notes in sharing is off by default (and hidden in a separate configuration section)…

Hi,

Thanks for your follow-up!

You raise a great point about copying content without modifying the original. I’ll share this feedback with our team to further investigate the functionality and see if there’s an opportunity to improve the process, especially when it comes to copying slides or content without needing full edit rights.

As for the notes inclusion being off by default, I completely understand how that could be frustrating. We’re aware of this behavior, and it’s something we plan to review and improve in the future. In the meantime, I’ll make sure your feedback is passed along.

Thanks again for your valuable insights, and feel free to reach out if you have any more suggestions or concerns!

Best regards,

Nathan
