Leaving presentation should show the selected slide in sidebar

Quite often when I leave a presentation the just presented slide is shown (which is what I expect) but the side with the overview of all slides shows the first slide instead of also the slide currently shown. This is very annoying.

Thank you for sharing your feature request! I understand that navigating in the presentation list can be quite annoying. I hope that you could clarify a couple of points so we can better understand your needs and explore solutions.

  1. Currently the thumbnail of a presentation in the list screen is only the background image of the first slide, there’s no slide content in the thumbnail (unless you upload a specific image for the thumbnail). I assume you want this thumbnail to be the background image of the currently active slide where you left off, because it’s the most recent you remember about that presentation - not the first slide’s background image, and by seeing that image, you know what that presentation is about, is that correct?

  2. Would an image of the first slide containing the background and the content be better?

Hi. I’m not talking about the slide deck overview but within a slide deck the previews shown on the left side of the screen. If you reopen an existing presentation you see in the main area the slide you last visited. However, the scrollable area to the left containing all slides is always scrolled to the top and you manually have to scroll down to find the slide you are currently editing.

Any news? In my opinion the current behaviour is very annoying. Especially when reopening a presentation and the left sidebar always shows the first few slides and not the one shown in the main area.
