Content v2 improvements

Content v2 offers nice features but is currently quite cumbersome to use. Font size changes are only reflected after switching slides. The preview on the left side only says “content v2” but instead should grab the first title element content.

I really like the time but editing the text is a pain in the a… it seems to update the main screen and at least in Safari you have to type very slowly to not loose any chars.

Finally, the editing layout differs from the display which is very annoying.

Editing looks like this:

and the actual slide like this where text is covered by the standard elements

Completely agree, this is very annoying!

I share the same thought. Plus, I expect the Insert button to look bigger. It’s too small for my eyes now

If you’re comfortable using Claude or ChatGPT, use the MCP connection to offload the editing process. My Claude has done it better than me AhaSlides MCP — Getting Started Guide - AhaSlides Docs

Hi Martin, thanks for taking the time to lay this out so clearly, especially the screenshots showing the gap between the editor and the presenter screen.

I’m passing this on to our product team: the font size delay, the preview thumbnail not reflecting the title, the typing lag in Safari, and the layout mismatch where the Start buttons overlap your text on the live slide.

One thing that’d help us reproduce the Safari typing issue, could you share which Safari version and macOS (or iOS) version you’re on?

Appreciate you weighing in too, Chau. I’m bundling this with Martin’s report so the team sees it’s affecting more than one user

Thanks for adding that, noted. The Insert button size is a separate point worth flagging alongside Martin’s report, I’ll pass it on together

Version 26.6.2 (21624.5.1.11.3) on MacOS. I wasn’t able to reliably reproduce it just now. Sometimes a character is lost when typing but not as often as yesterday. Mostly around the time when the text below the timer does not fit the text field anymore.

Thanks for the detail, Martin. I’ll pass this along to the team to dig into it and we’ll update you here :slightly_smiling_face:
