# Backstage should exchange windows

The backstage mode opens the “remote” in a new window leaving the presentation screen in the existing window. It would make much more sense the other way around - the main window might contain additional tabs which should not be visible during presentation. In addition the presentation window is the one you want to move to the external presentation screen.

Thanks for your request! I’ll log this then come back to you in 2 weeks time with a clearer information from our Product Development team.

I too, meet this inconvenience when hosting a presentation, I usually have to drag the presentation tab to a separate window first before dragging it to the external screen so the audience don’t see my other tabs.
